Dr Emma Heywood

I am a lecturer and researcher at the University of Sheffield's  Department of Journalism Studies. I conduct research into foreign conflict reporting, the media and war-affected areas.

I am working on a British Academy-funded project to investigate the role of local media in NGO activities in conflict-affected areas. Fieldwork on this project took place during 2016.
